Nightwish frontman Tuomas Holopainen caught the attention of big Hollywood agent Tracey Jacobs, after she caught the showing of Imaginaerum whilst visiting Germany earlier in March.
The agent who represents big names such as Johnny Depp and Jason Bateman, is said to be interested in Tuomas’ apparent natural ability to act and said he has a look that will appeal to the movie market. Tuomas is said to be surprised and nervous at the prospect of training as an actor.
Regarding Anette’s departure, I know Tuomas has been asked in other interviews about it and his response was that the statement the band issued at the time said all that they wanted to tell the public about the split. Did you learn something from the manner in which Tarja left that you applied to the situation with Anette?
Yeah, we learned that it’s probably better if you don’t go into too much personal detail, and just let it lie. We agreed that this time we would do it this way in order not to create too much media hassle; which was pretty overwhelming at the time with Tarja, when the split happened with Tarja. Like six months in Finland doing no interviews at all and still the press found something to write every day. So yeah, we wanted to keep it simple this time.
sleepy-knot-deactivated20130221 asked: What do you think about Floor singing with Nightwish? At first I didn't like her, but I went to their concert a few days ago and she is pretty awesome. What do you think about her?
Hey there! That’s awesome that you saw them live with Floor! :D I hope I can see them, too, if they tour Germany sometime and actually do come to Berlin (they didn’t on their last European tour with Anette..), hehe
Personally, I think Floor’s got a beautiful voice and in the videos I saw, she sang old and new Nightwish songs really well. Due to work keeping me so busy at the moment, I don’t know if there has been any news of Floor staying in Nightwish after the tour?! But if that would happen, I’d be excited for a new album with her.
I fell in love with Nightwish when they released Century Child, because I was and still am hopelessly in love with Tarja’s voice (her solo albums are absolutely amazing, in my opinion), so I’d be delighted if they were to go back to the more opera-like song style with Floor. Whatever they’ll do, though, I’ll breathe it in like air :)
Thank you for asking, love!
